Rusty, a horse rescued by Megan Reimann from the USA, has recently made headlines for his remarkable intelligence and talent. When Megan first took Rusty in, he was difficult to handle. He had a tendency to run people over and even bite, which made others reluctant to take him in. Megan, however, saw potential in Rusty and committed to helping him.
Their dedication has paid off. Rusty has set a new record by performing 33 tricks in just three minutes, a feat that highlights his impressive abilities. Megan explained that she initially used tricks as a way to teach Rusty proper and safe behavior. Today, Rusty is an accomplished trick horse eager to demonstrate what a horse once overlooked can achieve.
Rusty’s repertoire includes simple commands like spinning, staying, and giving a fist bump, as well as more complex actions such as playing the piano, painting, and waving a flag. Megan noted that Rusty seems to enjoy performing, often nodding enthusiastically when asked if he likes showing off his skills. During their record attempt, Rusty was surrounded by many onlookers, and he appeared to thrive on the attention.
Outside of his performances, Rusty enjoys running through cornfields and helping Megan with household chores, including bringing in the laundry. Megan expressed pride in Rusty’s achievements, noting that Rusty seemed proud of himself as well.
Rusty actually completed 34 tricks during the three minutes, but one had to be disqualified because he stepped off a teeter-totter before fully crossing it. Despite this, Rusty was unfazed and celebrated his new record by giving Megan a playful kiss, knocking her sunglasses off.
Rusty’s story is a testament to the power of patience and belief in an animal’s potential. From a difficult rescue to a record-breaking performer, Rusty continues to inspire those around him.
