Lionne Roper-Hird, owner of Cosmos Flowers in Ilkley, has been named Best Florist in Yorkshire at the Muddy Stilettos Awards 2025. The awards celebrate the best independent businesses across the county and are entirely voted on by the public.
Lionne received her award at a ceremony held at Rudding Park in Harrogate, where winners from across Yorkshire gathered to celebrate their achievements. As the regional winner, she will now advance to the national finals, representing Yorkshire in the competition to be named the best florist in the UK.
“This award means a lot to me,” Lionne said. “I love my job and the community I serve. Getting nominated unexpectedly and receiving so many votes made me very proud. Being a true Yorkshire lass and representing our county makes this even more special. Thank you to all my loyal customers.”
The Muddy Stilettos Awards, now in their twelfth year, recognize outstanding local businesses across the country. At the same event, another Ilkley business, Luxe Beauty Lounge, was also honored as the best Beauty Salon/Clinic in Yorkshire.
