In Hoyland, South Yorkshire, Edit Simonics has created something extraordinary—both by name and by nature.
Originally from Hungary, Edit, with the dedicated help of her husband Attila, has completely transformed their once ordinary back garden into a remarkable green haven. In just four years, the couple has turned the space into a striking landscape that impresses from the very first step inside.
Their garden, carefully designed and lovingly maintained, bursts with life and colour, offering a true “wow” moment to visitors. And adding to its charm is their small dog, Cuki—whose name fittingly means “cute” in Hungarian—often greeting guests with enthusiasm and stealing attention from the vibrant plants.
The Simonics’ creation reflects not only horticultural skill but a deep commitment to beauty, care, and the joy of shared work.
