BeWILDerwood Cheshire has been ranked among the UK’s top theme parks for children this summer, placing 10th on a new list compiled by toy experts at Outdoor Toys.
The ranking was based on several factors, including entry prices, number of rides, and TripAdvisor reviews. Drayton Manor in Tamworth claimed the top spot, followed by Paultons Park in Hampshire and Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Alton Towers came in seventh.
Located off the A49 near Whitchurch and Tarporley, BeWILDerwood is set in a 70-acre woodland and focuses on imaginative outdoor play. The park features 22 attractions, including long zip wires, giant slides, treehouses, rope bridges, sky mazes, and den-building areas. It also hosts storytelling sessions and brings to life characters from a series of children’s books by author Tom Blofeld.
Targeted at children aged two to twelve, the park is designed to offer fun for the whole family. BeWILDerwood has also earned recognition for its creative marketing efforts. It won the Marketing Project of the Year award at the Marketing Cheshire Tourism Awards, beating out competitors such as Chester Zoo and Tatton Park.
