Apple has maintained its position as the world’s most valuable brand for the fourth year in a row, with a brand valuation soaring to $1.3 trillion, according to the latest rankings from Fortune and Kantar BrandZ.
The California-based tech giant’s brand value increased by 28% compared to last year, a figure roughly equal to the combined GDP of Sweden, Vietnam, and Peru. This growth underscores Apple’s continuing dominance in the global market.
Kantar BrandZ, which has been assessing brand values for over 20 years, reported significant gains across the top 100 global brands. While Apple remains at the summit, technology leaders Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Nvidia complete the top five positions.
Nvidia stood out with the fastest growth, experiencing a 152% surge in brand value over the past year. This rise is attributed to Nvidia’s pivotal role in the expanding AI and semiconductor sectors. Other brands posting over 100% growth included Huawei, VMware, Xiaomi, and Instagram, reflecting enhanced market relevance and consumer perception.
Among the most notable new entrants to the list was OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT. Debuting at number 60 with a brand value of $43.5 billion, OpenAI’s valuation places it near established brands like Disney (52nd, $48.6 billion) and Nike (49th, $49.4 billion).
The rankings also highlighted the growing influence of international companies. Spotify, the Swedish music streaming service, reentered the top 100 at number 76. Additionally, Indian telecom giant Airtel and Argentina’s e-commerce firm Mercado Libre were featured, signaling the expanding global footprint of non-U.S. brands.
