Air Canada has been named North America’s Best Airline at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards held during the Paris Air Show. The honor reflects the opinions of nearly 22 million travelers worldwide who participated in customer satisfaction surveys.
The airline also won several other awards, highlighting its commitment to quality service. The Toronto Air Canada Signature Suite was recognized for the second year in a row as the world’s best business class lounge dining. Air Canada’s flight attendants were voted the best cabin crew in Canada and North America, while its low-cost subsidiary, Air Canada Rouge, was named the best low-cost carrier.
Air Canada also earned accolades as the most family-friendly airline in North America. It won awards for the best premium economy and business class onboard catering, as well as operating the top business class lounge in the region.
Michael Rousseau, Air Canada’s President and CEO, expressed pride in the recognition. He said the award shows the trust of customers and the dedication of the airline’s 40,000 employees worldwide. The airline has recently introduced free fast Wi-Fi, upgraded its app, and expanded its in-flight entertainment options. It also offers free snacks and drinks, revamped lounges, and improved airport procedures. Air Canada has made it easier for passengers to connect between flights with intermodal travel options on a single ticket. Its loyalty program continues to be popular for its value and flexibility.

Beyond the Skytrax honors, Air Canada has received other major awards in 2025. The Airline Passenger Experience Association gave it the Five Star Global Airline Award. The World Travel Awards named it the World’s Leading Airline to North America, and it won gold as the best international airline at the Travvy Awards.
