In 2025, global raspberry production reached nearly 940,980 tonnes, with Russia leading the way by contributing about 23.31% of the total yield. Raspberries, known for their sweet and juicy flavor, continue to be popular worldwide in various forms, including fresh fruit, juices, jams, and cakes.
Russia maintained its position as the top raspberry producer. The fruit holds a special place in Russian food culture, and people across the country, especially gardeners, grow many varieties. Raspberries are commonly used in traditional recipes, including juices, jams, and baked goods.
Mexico followed as the second largest producer. Favorable conditions in regions like Baja California allow Mexican farmers to cultivate raspberries almost year-round. The country exports large quantities to the United States and Canada, meeting the growing demand in North America.
Serbia ranked third in global production. The country is recognized for its high-quality raspberries, especially the “Willamette” variety. Serbian raspberries are widely exported across Europe, earning the country the nickname “Land of Raspberries.”
The United States was also among the top producers, with most raspberry farming concentrated in California and Washington. American growers use advanced technology and machinery to improve efficiency in cultivation and packaging. They produce various types of raspberries, including red, black, and golden varieties.
Poland, once the world’s leading raspberry producer, remained a key player in 2025. Polish farmers continue to focus on natural and safe farming methods. The majority of raspberries grown in Poland are used in processed products such as jams and beverages.
Together, these countries play a major role in meeting the global demand for raspberries, supporting both local consumption and international trade.
